Bring in colored paper (paint chips, Color Aid, magazine clips etc), acrylic paint, new sketchbook

WEEK OF November 10-14
IN CLASS:

A) CREATE a 12-Step Color wheel using 3 primary colors

MATERIALS: Acrylic paint, paper

B) CREATE second color wheel using complimentary colors to create neutrals to gray (in center)

C) Using 11- step gray scale value chart as a size model,
create the following*:

Tint chart with definable steps (hue to high-key )
Shade chart with definable steps(hue to low-key)
Analogous gradation (smooth gradient) (From a primary to the next primary)

Please make these presentation worthy in your sketchbooks.

* Graphic design majors may complete this on the computer for final grading providing they do the initial exercise in class.
